Paul Anderson – Principal Environmental Advisor

Paul Anderson at the Palmwoods office with a family horsePaul Anderson has 25 years of industrial experience in brewing, sugar and food technology, environmental management, cleaner production, eco-efficiency and waste minimisation. During this time, post graduate qualifications (MSc & M Env Man) have been gained. He has International Environmental Auditor Certification through the Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment (UK), and is on the EPA’s approved consultant register for contaminated land assessments. John Skillington – Senior Environmental Advisor

John Skillington at the Southern Ocean Indian Ocean signpostJohn has accumulated more than 25 years experience in the Queensland power generation industry. He holds tertiary qualifications in Applied Chemistry and has completed a Master of Environmental Management. John has worked as an Analytical Chemist, Laboratory Manager, and Environmental Officer at major power stations. More recently he has been responsible for managing Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), preparation of Environmental Impact Statements (EIS) and obtaining Development Approvals (DA) and Licenses for a number of major projects in Queensland and South Australia including coal-fired, gas turbine and wind farm generation facilities as well as ash waste disposal facilities.

While working on various projects, John has managed and/or prepared Construction Environmental Management Plans, EPAct - Environmental Management Programs, Land & Vegetation Management Plans, Bird Impact Monitoring and Injury Rescue Plans, Revegetation Plans (in conjunction with Greening Australia), Water and Creek Sediment Contamination Monitoring Programs, Groundwater Contamination Monitoring Programs, Erosion & Sediment Control Plans and Ash Waste Management Plans, as well as being involved in negotiating Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Management Plans.

John provides expertise in

  • Management of all aspects of obtaining Development Approvals, including EIA processes, specialist consultants and preparation of EIS documents for greenfield and brownfield industrial projects in Queensland
  • Assessment and negotiation of EPA License conditions for projects
  • Preparation of documentation for Environmental Management System (EMS) for project construction and operations
  • Environmental compliance advice and documentation for project construction and operations
  • Advice, preparation and review of programs for environmental monitoring and field sampling for water, wastewater, groundwater and ambient air
  • Review and assessment of environmental monitoring results and preparation of summary reports for company internal review and/or EPA compliance

Peter Lello – Consulting Environmental Advisor

Peter offers his expertise to IMEMS Pty Ltd on a needs basis. He has worked in large medium sized corporations in a variety of responsible positions. His earlier experience as a science teacher provides him with a practical, analytical and client based framework from which to apply his skills and knowledge of environmental requirements.

He brings extensive specialist advice on EMS development, documentation and implementation; environmental and land use approvals including pre-feasibility risk assessments, feasibility environmental studies, tender advice, owner responsibility and construction implementation; and licensing and land use conditions. In line with the company approach, he approaches projects with a view to meeting the client’s financial, operational and environmental objectives. Peter is a registered environmental auditor with QSA, for environmental management, EMS and compliance.

Peter is particularly capable of

  • Facilitating involvement of relevant operational and corporate staff to ensure practical and manageable outcomes
  • Co-ordination and review of external specialist consultants with a focus on terms of reference, delivery and communication to epc
  • Applying risk analysis in a thorough and effective process to ensure issues are identified and given correct priority
  • Reviewing and facilitating EMS works to ensure realistic, appropriate and deliverable outcomes

Kaine Pritchard - Environmental Project Officer

Kaine Pritchard working in the field - or forestKaine brings high academic achievement combined with sound diverse practical experience in fauna, flora, revegetation, impact assessment and ecological investigation works. Work and education in environment and conservation has provided experience in a variety of environments, from a conservation traineeship in the National Parks of the Northern Territory to studies during an undergraduate environmental course in diverse landscapes of Tasmania. He is currently developing knowledge and experience of the environs of southeast Queensland. Kaine has a strong commitment to professional development, is self motivated, responsible and utilises cooperative team management skills effectively in his work.

Suzanne Langdon – Administration & Quality Assurance

Suze and Fergie in the IMEMS officeSuzanne has worked for IMEMS Pty Ltd since 1999. She brings extensive experience in program development from 18 years in education in Queensland and Western Australia. Her program development experience included 8 years in desktop publishing actively engaged in the design, development, review and improvement of education programs. Her work has provided her with experience in working in diverse teams, project management and performing a variety of roles.

Suzanne performs office management duties and applies her program development experience to the preparation of documentation. Her experience and analytical approach ensures that document development is reviewed and tailored to project objectives and client needs.
